Assess the Supplier Opportunity

oziosko does not guarantee marketplace demand. Assess the opportunity with your own products, costs, capacity, and likely seller relationships before investing in a broad range or a highly automated operation.

The aim is not to predict a perfect launch. It is to decide whether one representative range and one credible seller relationship can create worthwhile trade without weakening the wider business.

Start with the relationship

For each likely seller connection, ask:

  • Does the seller serve customers who fit this range?
  • Is wholesale, dropship, or both suitable for the relationship?
  • Are price, margin, credit, payment days, freight, and returns workable?
  • Can you keep product information and available stock current?
  • Can you acknowledge and ship accepted work consistently?

Estimate contribution with your own numbers

Use a conservative estimate:

Multiply the number of connected sellers by expected monthly orders per seller, average supplier order value, and contribution margin after fulfilment and freight. The result is an estimate, not a promise.

Treat every early number as a projection, not a promise. Include pick and pack, freight variance, returns, credit exposure, product preparation, and the time needed to maintain stock truth.

Choose a sensible starting range

Start with a limited range when:

  • seller demand is not yet demonstrated;
  • product identity or stock changes frequently;
  • fulfilment capacity is still being tested; or
  • commercial terms differ significantly between sellers.

Expand after actual connection, order, fill, cancellation, return, and margin results support the extra work.

Match effort to evidence

  • For a small or changing range, maintain products and stock directly in Supplier Portal.
  • For a larger stable range, use supported bulk-file workflows after a sample file has been proven.
  • For wholesale, agree credit and payment terms before the first purchase order.
  • For dropship, confirm margin, stock, lead time, tracking, and return handling.
  • When demand is uncertain, prove one range and one relationship before expanding.
