Work With Sellers
Every supply path starts with a seller relationship. Sellers lets you decide who can work with your range, which supply model applies, and the commercial position agreed before trading begins.
Review a request as a business decision
Before approving a request, confirm:
- the seller's category, customer, region, and expected volume fit your range;
- wholesale, dropship, or both are appropriate;
- the discount, dropship margin, payment days, and wholesale credit limit are commercially workable;
- stock, lead time, freight, tracking, and returns can support the promise; and
- both businesses know who owns each step after approval.
Choose Approve only when the relationship is ready to trade. Choose Reject when it is not a fit.
What you can control
- Enable wholesale, dropship, or both for the relationship.
- Set the agreed discount and dropship margin.
- Set payment days and a wholesale credit limit.
- Review current wholesale exposure before taking on more credit risk.
- Update the credit limit for an approved relationship and record why it changed.
After approval, self-service changes are limited to the wholesale credit limit. Changing the discount, payment days, supply model, or dropship margin requires a fresh terms agreement or marketplace coordination.
Pause or end a relationship
- Use Suspend when an approved relationship needs to stop temporarily because of commercial or operational risk.
- Use Reactivate when the existing approved relationship can resume. This restores the relationship; it does not create a new set of terms.
- Use Revoke when the relationship should end.
- A rejected or revoked relationship must return through the permitted request and approval process before trading can restart.
Understand credit correctly
Wholesale purchase orders can use the approved credit limit. Cancelling work can release credit when that order had already used it. Dropship acceptance does not draw on wholesale credit; it reserves stock and relies on marketplace buyer payment coverage instead.
Recommended governance
- Record reasons when changing credit limits.
- Review suspended relationships regularly rather than leaving them forgotten.
- Watch total wholesale exposure across sellers, not just one relationship.
- Re-negotiate non-credit terms deliberately instead of using Reactivate as a shortcut.
