Run Dropship Supply
Dropship lets an approved seller offer eligible products while you hold the stock and fulfil the resulting shopper order. It can open a route to demand without sending inventory to each seller in advance, but it depends on accurate availability and dependable dispatch.
Before a seller can offer the range
- Your business must be approved for dropship supply.
- The seller relationship must be approved for dropship.
- Eligible products, stock, lead time, regions, margin, and return handling must be clear.
- The seller remains responsible for the shopper offer; you remain responsible for the supply commitment you accept.
When an order arrives
- Open the pending order and check products, quantities, address, and timing.
- Choose Accept only when every line can be covered. Acceptance reserves the stock and relies on marketplace buyer payment coverage.
- Pick, pack, and ship within the promised lead time.
- Choose Ship and record a valid carrier and tracking reference.
- Choose Reject or Cancel promptly when fulfilment cannot proceed.
How stock and money behave
- Accepted stock moves out of general availability so it cannot be promised twice.
- Shipping completes the stock commitment and records tracking.
- Rejecting or cancelling releases reserved stock when applicable.
- Dropship acceptance does not use the seller's wholesale credit limit.
- The marketplace's shopper payment record supports the dropship order; this is different from wholesale credit between supplier and seller.
Wholesale purchase orders use a different commercial path. See Run wholesale supply.
What good dropship operation looks like
- Stock changes reach the marketplace before another order depends on them.
- Pending work is checked throughout the operating day.
- Tracking is recorded as part of shipment, not chased later.
- Cancellations and returns are reviewed for recurring product, stock, or lead time problems.
- Supplier Portal remains the fallback even when approved business-system delivery has been configured by a technical team.
